"Classified" - The Official Tag.
Allegations and counter allegations are in full swing over the cash for vote scam. The arguments given by both the BJP and the Congress are enough to confuse the common man. Although speaker of Lok Sabha Somnath Chaterjee sets up a parliamentary committee for a thorough investigation of the scam and asked for their report till 11th of august, but still the picture of getting all the facts correct seems to be blurred.
The fear of this investigation to fall into the lines of earlier investigation will always be there. If something of this sort would happen then the culprits would walk free and the chance of getting a major disease out of our system would be lost. Reality is, that this scam has rocked the faith of the citizens. Today they started to see all the statements and justifications through an eye of suspicion and that is why the newly formed committee should work in a different manner.
Being a parliamentary investigation doesn’t allow them to keep it classified. And if they do it then the suspicion will increase. The investigation process should be made transparent. The citizens should be updated with the developments. There is a lot of confusion over the recorded tapes. The BJP says that they are tampered. This allegation can be solved when they are put before the public. There are other such questions. There has been talks that when the BJP MP’s came into the parliament they were carrying empty bags and later they were filled with money. Another thing that has came into light was that the money were withdrawn from a bank in Bhopal and on account of this the Congress is alleging Madhya Pradesh chief minister’s involvement.
This is a strange fight in which both the sides are involved in defeating and exposing the other, but none of them is trying to check their own self. By unearthing the reality of this scam we can prove that possibilities are still exist in our system.
